As we sit down to pen this blog, it’s hard not to get lost in the nostalgia of our humble beginnings at SUZUYA. Eleven years ago, we embarked on a journey, one that involved mixing flour, eggs, and a whole lot of love to create something special for all of you. Little did we know, it was not just the cakes and pastries we were baking; we were also crafting lifelong relationships and memories.

When we first opened our doors, we saw love blossoming over cups of coffee and slices of cake. Boyfriends and girlfriends who held hands over our tables are now parents who visit us with their little ones. The joyous laughter of these families fills our store, and we couldn’t be happier to be part of their journey.

One of our most heartwarming memories is of a couple who trusted us with an envelope that held the secret to their baby’s gender. The suspense and excitement in their eyes still stay with us. If the baby was a boy, a Blueberry Cheesecake Crepe was to be made. For a girl, an Ichigo Crepe was the order. The delight of revealing the gender with our crepes was an honor we cherish to this day.

And then, there are those couples who have marked their love milestones with us. They have chosen us to be a part of their joyous moments, entrusting us to craft their wedding anniversary cakes year after year. Each cake holds a special place in our hearts, each one signifying a love story that has grown stronger with time, a testament to enduring love.

Our shop isn’t just a stop for couples and families, though. We’ve seen high schoolers, bright-eyed and excited, stop by our store to pick up a cake. These cakes aren’t just any cakes – they’re Prom proposals. The nervous excitement, the anticipation, and the joy of the ‘yes’ – we’ve been a part of it all.

As we look back, we realize that SUZUYA is not just about cakes and pastries. It’s about the love, the excitement, the joy, and the anticipation that our customers bring with them. We’re more than just a patisserie; we’re a vault of cherished memories.
