It’s already August—what a relief that cooler weather is another month closer! I am personally most excited for the next season’s ingredients, which include luscious Fuji apples and sweet, comforting kabocha (Japanese pumpkin). While our summer seasonals tend to be more vibrant and refreshing to reflect summer fruits, fall seasonals tone down the vibrancy and lean into flavor profiles that are more mellow and indulgent. Suzuya will welcome back our staples for fall before you know it: homemade Fuji apple and kabocha pies!
That is to say, our limited Ichigo daifuku may not be available for much longer to make room for these new additions. I hope you can still enjoy them with us next season!
